Thank you Judie, for your gift of helping horses and their people. Since bringing my 4 yo TWH mare, Daisy, to you for some group riding and gait training I have a better horse and have become a better rider. I love what you have done for Daisy. She learned more self-control in groups and gained confidence when alone. Her running walk has improved and she is a wonderful rail and camping companion. You had done such a great job with Daisy over 60 days, that I next brought you Chief, my 8 yo SSH gelding. He wanted to canter instead of going at a running walk. After 30 days with you he has a lovely high-stepping running walk now. Thanks, Judie! Of course, I can't leave out how much I've learned and how much fun I've had since you've mentored me in endurance. You have abundant knowledge to share and so much patience with a newbie. Thanks to you, my 8 yo TWH mare, Stormy, has started and successfully completed 3 LD rides with "A" vet checks. Your guidance has covered camping, conditioning, nutrition, pacing/strategy, vet checks, pre-ride and post-ride care for both horse and rider. We are looking forward to this season and our first 50 mile endurance ride at the OD in June. Your guidance, reassurance, support and way of making it all fun is a great contribution to the sport of endurance riding. Meadow Springs training facility and trails are horse/people friendly. It is so convenient since you start youngsters, train, condition, give lessons and provide lay-up care. Each horse is cared for by you personally in a safe, loving environment. DAISY

STORMY
Owner: Janet French
Stormy is a 9-year old Tennessee Walking Horse mare who is now my endurance horse. Judie mentored me and got me started. I started three LD rides last year and completed all three. Also did the 25-mile Old Dominion ride in June 2008 and 30/30 in October 2008.

FALCON

 Judie took a very pushy Falcon and turned him into a manageable, more stable horse. She also gave me good advice and encouraging words to help dispel my fears of riding. Falcon and I went on to complete the Virginia Highlands 30-mild LD and also the Fort Valley 30 in the pouring rain. Judie offered help at the Fort Valley ride when Falcon was too excited for his vet check, and I was very appreciative of her help. Judie really knows how to put a positive mindset into a horse.

VITTORIO

I found Vittorio online at Judie's farm two and a half years ago. I flew to her home from New England with my good friend Val and we rented a car and drove to Judie's property. Judie warmly greeted us, gave a lovely demonstration of Vittorio showcasing the training she had accomplished with him. Judie was completely open and honest about all of Vittorio's fine points, as well as some of his issues that would need to be further addressed. Then she took us on a fabulous trail ride for over 2 hours so that I could 'test ride' Vittirio. She offered a horse for Val as well, and we had a great time. I fell in love! I flew home and Judie did all the leg work for me, arranging a pre-purchase exam with Endurance Veterinarian Jeannie Waldron. Both Jeannie and Judie knew my goals for Vittorio, as well as my expectations and they were wonderful in vetting him thoroughly to see if he would make a sound trail and endurance horse.
Judie then helped set up transportation to get Vittorio to my home in Connecticut. It has been a wonderful experience owning such a magnificent animal, and Vittorio and I continue to train and enjoy the trails together. Next wee we are signed up for our first LD together. Thank you Judie!!!

BANDIT

Hi Judie ... I did a trail ride on the Manassas Battlefield with Pat, who referred me to you and has a wonderful trail horse. Based on that energy and mine, we did great! Crossed a bridge, two streams, got off and on twice to cross a two-lane highway - riding for 2 hours. It was great. He did not hesitate. We met walking people with their dogs, other riders, joggers and even a few deer. I feel like I crossed a bridge with Bandit - literally and figuratively.
I greatly appreciate all your work with Bandit and Bette. I plan to keep doing trail rides, competitive and maybe even endurance. My daughter was impressed.
