Finally she can go through and check it out.

Fluer meets the tarp

Fluer first checks out the bridge, then wonders "Now What?" ... and then steps over.

Following the tarp quietly

Learning the "come here" signal

Saddled, bridled and learning patience.

Good filly!

This filly is coming along well.  She has taken a little more time in the training process, as some do.  I have to be sure she has everything figured out before going to the next step.  Some horses that come from the wild and are not barn raised are so unsure of EVERYTHING.  You have to be patient and go slowly.  She is accepting the different types of saddles, western, english and endurance, she has been wearing a copper snaffle and done lots of ground driving and round pen work.  She ties quietly.  She has done the arena of obstacles and is getting more trusting.  She has not been ridden yet, but has had weight in the stirrups and I have been teaching her to pick me up from the round pen panels to get used to me above her.  She will be under saddle and ridden soon.  She is a nice mover and should be a good endurance horse for Patty.

Fleur De Ore on the tree of knowledge after a training session.  She is coming along and I will be riding her soon.
